October 1 – The Cost of Love

We hear much about the cost of loving, and certainly, it can be great. Massive.



To us in Cor Unum, however, the cost of withholding love is too great to measure. It is too great to consider.



Here in this monastery, we love our family and our friends; we love those in our church and the church down the street, too. We love those with whom we agree and those with whom we categorically disagree. We love our enemies. We love them. We must. We simply cannot afford any other strategy.
